How do you get approved for SDA?

If you are an NDIS participant, and you want to change the Accommodation you live in is to arrange an NDIS planning meeting. Your NDIS funded  Support Coordinator can help you with this.

During the planning meeting, the NDIS will talk about if you’re eligible for SDA and discuss what kind of SDA you might like.

The NDIS will look at the following three categories.

• if you meet the criteria listed in Who’s eligible for SDA?
• SDA design categories, building types, and locations
• if you already live in SDA and if you would like to keep living there.

The NDIS will ask you to complete a Home and Living Supports Form, It is also helpful to provide any Allied Health assessments to assist in the process.

The NDIS may ask you to provide further information or help you to get the information that is required so they can assess your application for SDA.
