Tenants in SDA housing pay a Reasonable Rent Contribution. It is made up of two parts: 25% of the Disability Support Pension<\/strong> (the base rate) plus 100% of any Commonwealth Rent Assistance<\/strong> you receive. That is your rent \u2014 the amount is set by these formulas rather than the market, so it does not jump around the way private rents can.<\/p>\n Separately from your rent, the NDIS pays an SDA payment directly to the housing provider.
