Includes features such as ceiling hoist systems, backup power for medical equipment, climate control and emergency power for life-support devices.<\/p><p class=\"cat-suit\">Typically suits<\/p><ul><li>Very high or complex physical support needs<\/li><li>Reliance on assistive or medical equipment<\/li><li>24\/7 onsite support arrangements<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building type matters too<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside design category, SDA homes also come in different building types \u2014 shared homes (typically 2\u20135 residents), villa\/duplex arrangements, and single-resident dwellings. The right combination of design category and building type depends on your support needs, your preferences around shared living, and what is available in your area.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How this connects to funding<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your design category is one of the factors that determines your SDA price \u2014 the amount the NDIS pays toward the home itself.
